Life ManagementGet Organised With Time

Work, family, children’s commitments and quality time, socialising with friends, staying fit and healthy, personal interests, managing finances, shopping, eating, maintaining our homes and lives, reading and keeping abreast of new information.

24 hours a day gives us: 8 hours to sleep, 8 hours to work and 8 hours to manage our lives...

If we work five days each week, or 40 hours, we have 72 hours a week and 3,744 hours a year to manage our lives. Yet many people say they never have enough time!

Overwhelming administrative tasks can disempower an otherwise successful business operator

Work Management

Travel time, office and mobile phone management, daily reading, paper-flow management, diary management, email management, meeting preparation, meeting attendance, job tasks, staff management, client management, report preparation, training in new resources, products or technology – the list of things to do is extensive.

In a typical 40 hour working week, many people don’t have the skills to manage their time effectively and accomplish all the tasks assigned to them. Consequently many people work overtime to stay up to date - not ahead.

Given this fact of working life today, your 'work' time will be eating into your 'life' management time.

Furthermore, if you run your own business, add 25 hours or more to overtime spent each week managing your business.

How can you manage your time and life more effectively?

With practical, but essential structures in place, and being able to maintain them with ease, we get the gift of better time management - so we can accomplish our work tasks and ‘must do’ life maintenance tasks with ease.

Over time, clients are finding that they have accumulated a great deal of digital clutter. Unclear file names, mis-filing (or, no filing) as well as inappropriate folders, combine to create mountainous gigabytes of hard drive (or, is it tetrabytes now?), people are drowning in digital clutter. We can help! We can come into your home or office, or take your laptop to a café (yes, please!) and organise your computer for you.

We won’t delete anything, but we will create a folder for anything you may need to look at and you can look in there if you really need to. Generally, though, we won’t be going into many docs. (hey, who has that sort of time!) rather: sorting, filing, categorising, creating shortcuts, clearing desktops and grouping items so that you can find them. Have a system in place to use in the future! We can also create a ‘digital archive’ much like a physical one, for old records and the like. And, we can train you through the process when it's organised so you can keep it that way. Interested?

  • Tame your Outlook with email folders, rules and alerts and email signatures.

  • Learn how to store and secure sensitive information

  • Learn to use shortcuts on your computer and other regularly used functions to speed up your day!

You may feel overwhelmed each time you open Microsoft Outlook or your email platform simply because you don't know what to do with all your emails that keep coming in each day. We encourage our clients to have this area organised so you can have more control.

With this 4 hour session, we help you organise your computer and clear emails quickly by setting up appropriate files, folders and email rules and alerts, so that you can take back the reins and never feel overwhelmed again. Simple strategies are suggested throughout this 4-hour one-to-one training session that will help you to keep your work areas on your computer clear and pecifically tailored to you or your business.

And, if you live in a remote area, we can manage the entire process via 'Remote Desktop Assistance'. All you need is to be running Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7 and/or using a Mac. We can visit your desktop, manage your files and step you through your own computer anywhere else in the world with an internet connection! And, with Skype, we can talk during the entire process of any training!
